Associate Manager, Social & Content - West Elm Kids

West Elm Kids is looking for a motivated and passionate Associate Content Manager to curate, program, write and produce, editorial and social-first content across our platforms. Experience working with social for a digital publication or lifestyle brand is a must for this role, as is a genuine interest in all things kid-related home and design. You will create content briefs, manage our social media accounts, and support creative projects related to the West Elm Kids brand. 

This role will report to our Creative Director and work closely with West Elm’s Content Director, social media and creative teams, PR & partnerships leads and merchandisers.

Responsibilities 

• Pitch, write and produce assets for West Elm’s social platforms, inclusive of Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. 
• Partner with art and video teams to create any social assets needed to illustrate your stories or social iterations of stories.
• Manage West Elm Kid’s Content Calendar and share with cross-functional leads. 
• Manage West Elm Kid’s social accounts, plan, program and create assets.     
• Be the voice of West Elm Kids across all social platforms. 
• Work with our analytics manager on reporting and updating our social strategy monthly. 
• Communicate your story planning with merchandising and marketing teams.
• Communite learnings for Instagram and Pinterest in compelling, platform-optimizing ways to leadership.
• Oversee story publishing, working closely with project management and site teams for home tours and relevant editorial stories for West Elm kids. 
• Work with creative coordinator to develop and program social-first content initiatives. 

Criteria

• You have 2–3years of post-grad experience in an social or content creation role, preferably in the design or lifestyle space
• Experience managing IG and Pinterest.
• Experience writing kid’s related content a plus. 
• You keep tabs on today’s zeitgeist and have a feel for what’s trending in lifestyle and design.
• You think creatively, yet has a keen attention to detail, especially when it comes to grammar, voice and project management
• You enjoy building a brand up and working across different initiatives. 
• You’re comfortable with social scheduling platforms, Keynote, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite and Airtable. 
• This role requires being onsite in the New York office

The expected starting pay range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
