Senior Fabricator & Welder

<p>The Senior Fabricator &amp; Welder is responsible for leading the fabrication, welding, and assembly of high-quality metal components and structures in accordance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. This role combines advanced technical expertise with leadership, problem-solving, and mentorship to ensure precision craftsmanship, efficiency, and continuous improvement across fabrication processes. The Senior Fabricator &amp; Welder plays a critical role in maintaining quality control, optimizing workflow, and supporting the successful delivery of complex projects while upholding the highest standards of workmanship and safety.</p> <p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">&nbsp;</p> <p data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform complex welding and metal fabrication using aluminum, steel, and stainless steel (MIG and TIG)</li> <li>Set up welding equipment (amperage, voltage, wire speed, etc) maximizing efficiency and effectiveness per application</li> <li>Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and GD&amp;T</li> <li>Prepare all materials prior to welding including cutting grinding and fixturing</li> <li>Creative input on fixture design concepts for ideal part fit-up, create and evaluate prototype fixtures</li> <li>Acts independently to determine optimal fabrication methods and procedures on new assignments</li> <li>Support the first article inspection and dimensional validation of fabricated parts</li> <li>Prepare welded assemblies for cosmetic finishing using grinding and sanding</li> <li>Monitor shop material usage and support inventory tracking of consumables and raw stock</li> <li>Track and record daily operations using the work request portal</li> <li>Ensures housekeeping is maintained throughout the shop</li> <li>Work overtime and weekends (if required)</li> <li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in alignment with ICON’s safety culture.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Welder Certification (preferred) proficient in welding aluminum.</li> <li>Minimum 5 years of full-time welding/ fabrication experience.</li> <li>Ability to train others in welding best practices and standard operating procedures</li> <li>Passionate about quality workmanship in fabricating and welding</li> <li>Strong work ethic</li> <li>Meticulous attention to detail</li> <li>Highly motivated</li> <li>Strong verbal communication skills</li> <li>Flexible, ability to work in a fast pace constantly changing environment with long hours</li> <li>and t
