Overview
AVIAN is seeking a Senior Engineering Facilitator to support it's customer in Patuxent River, MD. The ideal candidate will support the execution of an advanced research and development program and provide support in managing the technical aspects of the program with specific emphasis on digital engineering and digital acquisition. The candidate’s primary responsibility is to ensure that PMA-230’s digital acquisition environment meets the needs of the technical and program team.

Responsibilities
The candidate will:
- Execute technical program management in support of the Deputy Program Managers;
- Coordinate, oversee, elicit, and document the requirements of the hardware, software, networks, and interfaces within the digital acquisition environment;
- Maintain engineering cost and schedule estimates for the digital ecosystem and related projects;
- Participate in or lead agile ceremonies, (sprint planning, scrums, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives);
- Track and report status, metrics, costs, and performance related to the digital acquisition system;
- Identify and handle digital acquisition risks;
- Identify, propose, scope, plan, and facilitate digital acquisition projects and operations within resource constraints (e.g. interface development, data management, data analytics, automated documentation, etc.)
Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills:
- Education: Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or other related technical discipline.
- Experience: Candidate must have at least 10 years of experience facilitating technical projects.
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Candidate should have experience managing complex technical projects for the DoD, defense contractors, or engineering organizations that have implemented digital engineering.
- Candidate should have experience with Agile project management, Scaled Agile Framework, and associated tools and processes such as Jira and scrum.
- Candidate should have experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) & product lifecycle management.
- Candidate should have demonstrated good oral and written communication skills.
- Candidate should have experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained, and complex security environment.
Clearance Requirement: A current SSBI or Federal Investigative Standard Tier 5 (T5) or Tier 5 Reinvestigation (T5R) within the last 5 years. A final DoD Top Secret clearance. Eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI) in accordance with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 704 and Special Access Program (SAP) in accordance with SAP Nomination Policy (SAPNP) with no disqualifying security issues that will deem a candidate ineligible for access.
