Sr. Accountant / Financial Analyst

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategically minded Sr. Accountant/Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The Sr. Accountant/Financial Analyst responsibilities include assisting with financial planning, budgeting, the monthly closing processes, analyzing financial data and reports, developing preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership. 

Duties and Responsibilities

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintains the balances sheet accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist with budgeting and the monthly closing process.
• Track KPIs and prepare financial reports.
• Perform research and analysis as required.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

Requirements

Qualifications

The position requirements include, but are not limited to:

• 5+ years of accounting experience with experience in financial planning and analysis.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
• Experience with accounting software and databases.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Strong experience with Full-Cycle accounting.
• Efficient in PDI or other ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills with advanced Excel skills required.
• Point of Sale Transaction experience a plus.

Education

The position requires the following educational experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Work Environment

• Work is performed primarily inside a climate-controlled office space. Occasionally there will be travel and may work in an outdoor environment.
