Examples of duties
This role focuses on managing public health programs that support overdose prevention and connections to care. You will guide grants, program activities, and partnerships that strengthen services for communities across Pennsylvania. As a Public Health Program Administrator, you will perform the following duties:
- Grant Management: Manage grants for community and harm reduction organizations and oversee related activities
- Contract Development: Create work statements, budgets, spending plans, and amendments for public health programs
- Program Monitoring: Track deliverables, fiscal compliance, and reporting requirements for vendors and grantees
- Issue Resolution: Identify compliance issues and assist partners with corrective steps
- Program Planning: Develop operational policies, procedures, and direction for assigned public health programs
- Partnership Building: Maintain relationships with community organizations, agencies, and subject matter experts

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week on Monday, Thursday, and Friday. You will report to the office on Tuesday and Wednesday. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
