Job Description:

Hydrafacial is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer Senior Director who will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and sustaining of efficient and scalable manufacturing processes that delivers quality products. Ensures the engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively and is responsible for the development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process. Leads and directs the work of assigned manufacturing engineers and project engineers.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Analyze and design lean manufacturing cells using effective systems and simulation tools to optimize use of space, equipment, material and personnel.

• Assist in developing plant layout in planning rearrangement of facilities, equipment and operations for better utilization of space.

• Work closely with research and development, quality assurance and maintenance personnel to prevent problems with products and tooling/fixtures.

• Ensure all manufacturing safety regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.

• Stay informed concerning new manufacturing technologies and equipment in order to manufacture and reduce cost through efficiencies.

• Attract, hire and retain key new talent when applicable.

• Oversee, delegate, motivates, and develop the talent in the engineering organization through a systemic approach.

• Work well in a matrixed organization and with all functions across the company.

• Early involvement in all current and new product introductions to ensure robust designs that are manufacturable are developed and NPI milestones are achieved.

• Ensure vendors/subcontractors are manufacturing products according to product specifications.

• Determine and eliminate root causes and diminish occurrences in the manufacturing process.

• Ensure that all manufacturing product specifications are developed and testing procedures are in place before starting up vendors/subcontractors.

• Able to assist in reducing cost through re-engineering product/material.

• Assist in the assessment of vendor/subcontractor evaluation for consideration.

• Responsible for designing and implementing training programs for vendors/subcontractors on new product launches to meet target date.

• Develop and manage KPIs with a focus on continuous improvement, efficiency, and team development.

• Additional duties as assigned.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

• B.A. degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials or Industrial preferred); M.A. or equivalent preferred.

• 10+ years of progressive technical experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 2 years in the medical device industry.

• Management experience: Team building, experience with matrix organization, continuous improvement.

• Problem Solving/Analysis (Green Belt certified or above preferred)

• Lean Six Sigma Experience

• Project Management (PMP certification preferred)

• Communication Proficiency: High level of EQ. Able to manage communications to team members all levels of organization.

• Organizational Skills.
