Purpose of the Position:
The Corporate Strategy Manager is a leader within UMA’s internal corporate strategy team, leading strategic growth projects and ensuring timely execution. They collaborate with cross-functional, education, and finance teams to inform institutional strategies.
- Anticipated starting salary of $135,000-155,000; based on experience and qualifications.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Major Growth Strategy Projects: Initiatives related to the organization’s overall strategic growth vision.
- Structure and Conduct Strategic Analysis: Identify and evaluate growth opportunities across the organization.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external advisors to evaluate needs, provide analytics, and support strategic growth initiatives.
- Strategic Support: Includes M&A strategy and target screening.
- Develop Fact-Based Strategic Recommendations: Create impactful presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Lead with Care: Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of wellness, recognition, and engagement. Meet regularly with direct reports in one-on-one and group settings to provide feedback and cultivate/maintain a positive work culture.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, finance, economics, or related area of study, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years’ experience in consulting, corporate strategy, finance, investment banking, business management, or related field.
- Skills – financial modeling, presentation skills, Excel/PowerPoint, influence, executive communication, and business acumen.
- Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.
Preferred Requirements:
- Any degree or equivalent experience, especially in business administration or statistics, finance, economics, or related area of study.
- Strong or advanced proficiency in any of the above required skills/experience.
- Professional Certification in Strategic Management, Advanced Business Strategy Professional (ASBP), Senior Business Strategy professional (SBSP), or related certifications.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
- Other skills or abilities - management consulting, corporate strategy, or experience in the private sector education or similarly regulated industry.
Compliance:
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable state laws and rules, federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and internal policies and procedures.
