POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position will contribute to the weekly operations of RVTV, as well as support productions, and services the DMC offers to the campus and regional clients. These services will include videography and video editing, A/V services (live sound, projection), contributing to multi-camera live streaming events in the field, and operating the multi-camera TV control systems at RVTV government partner facilities, supporting RVTV master control, and DMC studio operations for televised events. Will coordinate and facilitate instructional workshops in production technology, which may include in-class demonstrations, on-camera video guides, and community education courses. Will provide technical support to SOU academic classes held at the DMC or utilizing DMC resources, helping maintain the academic equipment inventory, and providing equipment troubleshooting to students, faculty, and staff as needs arise.

Additional duties will include contributing content for social media assets, assisting with the marketing and outreach initiatives of the DMC and partnered organizations, and assisting with special events hosted by the DMC focused on the media industry and media education.

Minimum Requirements

  • Five years of television production videography experience including at least two years of broadcast quality experience.  This is defined as five years of professional media production experience, which may include broadcast videography, professional social media content production, film production, and other commercial video or television production

Preferred Requirements

  • BA/BS in communication, film/television, media, or similar.
  • 1+ year in working production environment(s) in film, video, or television production.
  • Experience with broadcast television production, multi-camera robotic production systems, or LIVE streaming productions.
  • Familiar with educational / training environment(s) in film,
