SALARY: The salary range for this position is $54,434.49 to $89,181.84 for Schedule A, and $54,434.49 to $84,722.75 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule B.

The Monmouth Vicinage Human Resources Division is seeking a professional, team-oriented, self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills, committed to providing quality customer service to both internal and external customers, who works well in an environment where there are multiple simultaneous deadlines and has strong leadership capabilities. Under the general direction of the Court Executive 2B (Human Resources Division Manager) and the direct supervision of the Court Executive 1B (Assistant Human Resources Division Manager), this individual will be responsible for providing human resources policy and procedural guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees.
REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access
Examples of duties
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing human resources support for the unit
- Interpreting and communicating human resources policies, rules, laws and/or regulations
- Drafting and composing routine correspondence, preparing reports, and/or proposals
- Inputing data into PMIS, JHRIS, NEOGOV, eCATS and other human resources related data systems as required
- Reviewing confidential employee records
- Assisting with employee and labor relations matters
- Administering the recruitment and selection process for professional, paraprofessional and clerical positions, including developing notices of vacancy, reviewing resumes/qualifying applicants, and conducting employment background checks
- Monitoring onboarding documents
- Calculating salary data
- Monitoring working test period/probationary period documentation
- Participating in team or work unit meetings and special projects
- Establishing work relationships with internal and external customers, including state agencies and other outside organizations
- Recommending improvements in operating procedures and/or administrative practices
- Serving on committees and/or task forces
- Providing administrative and clerical support to the vicinage
