Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the long-term vision and test strategies for the wafer test team, aligning department objectives with overall company strategic goals to ensure competitiveness in yield, quality, reliability, and performance.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Oversee the end-to-end execution of wafer test development for NPI and production ramp projects, ensuring seamless transition from development to high-volume manufacturing (HVM).
  • Resource and Project Management: Manage project schedules, allocate resources effectively (testers, probers, lab equipment), and define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate advanced semiconductor devices through testing, measurement, and data analysis.
  • Collaborate across teams to link device physics and develop test methodologies and algorithms for wafer test and characterization.
  • Conduct experiments, analyze device data, investigate root-causes, and present findings.
  • Mentor peers, lead technical reviews, and serve as a subject-matter expert.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in memory, storage, or system-level product, test, or validation engineering.

SKILLS:

  • Proven leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, dynamic environment and drive results. 
  • Great foundation in semiconductor physics and electrical characterization.
  • Deep understanding of NAND, DRAM, and emerging memory test methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment and parametric systems (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, wafer probers, parametric ATE, and bench systems).
  • Experience using Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems such as Advantest and Teradyne.
  • Proficiency in Python, C/C++, and Unix/Linux, for automation and analysis.
  • Proven ability to scale characterization methods into production flows.
  • Creative problem-solving and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Solid knowledge of high-speed interface protocols, like:
    • NAND (Toggle/ONFI)
    • DDR3–DDR5, LPDDR3–LPDDR5
    • GDDR3–GDDR6, HBM2/3/3E/4
  • Knowledge in serial testing like SCAN, JTAG or other serial protocols.
  • Background in data analytics.
