Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Night Shift Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities Include (But Are Not Limited To):

• Network Engineering: Troubleshooting/Tier II/Tier III support.
• Network Monitoring: SolarWinds/Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
• Network Documentation: Visio drawings/developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Diagnosing and resolving the toughest performance, security, and/or technical challenges related to the platforms listed above.
• Writing SOPs to accomplish repetitive tasks.
• Participating in processes throughout all phases of ITIL Service Lifecycle, including submitting Change Requests.
• Investigating and resolving operational problems along with other engineering and technical personnel.
• Working on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases to integrate within the customer’s production IT environment.
• Other tasks to include requirements specification, performance modeling, end-to-end functional analysis, cost estimation, and joint application design.

Basic Qualifications (Required):

• Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or related field) with 4+ years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+, CND or SSCP).
• Cisco or Microsoft certification.
• Experience using and administering SolarWinds.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Systems, HP SANs, VMware products.
• Networking experience.
• Cisco CCNA-level knowledge.
• Organization skills and ability to multitask.
• Microsoft Word/Excel/Visio experience.
• Willing to perform additional duties as necessary/flexible hours.
• Team player/help other teams as necessary.
• Cisco CCNA level knowledge.
• Microsoft Windows Systems, HP SANs, VMware products.
• Good writing skills.
• Good customer relation skills.
• Resourcefulness, adaptiveness, inclination for learning, and ability to write reports accurately.
• Knowledge of routing protocols.
• Full Time Sunday night - Thursday morning (10PM-7AM)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired):

• One or more of the following certifications:
  • Cisco CCNA, MCSE.
  • Microsoft Certified System Engineer, MCSE.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, MCSA.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, MCITP.
  • Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional, VMware VCP.
  • VMware Certified Professional.
• ITIL Foundations or later certification (strongly desired).
• Previous customer service experience (strongly desired).
• Microsoft Systems experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience using a Service Desk ticketing system, such as Remedy or ServiceNow.
• General Dynamics Encryptor experience.
• SolarWinds experience/knowledge.
• Cisco Prime Infrastructure experience/knowledge.

Security Clearance Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship and active TS clearance adjudicated within the last 6 years.
• Must be open to random CI polygraph.

  Physical Requirements:

• This is a sedentary position.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
• The person in this position must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Physical Requirements:

• This is a sedentary position.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
• The person in this position must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
