About Torus

Torus is headquartered in Utah and is expanding manufacturing at our 545,000-square-foot facility in Salt Lake City called GigaOne. We are the world’s first mesh energy infrastructure, uniting communities through resilient, sustainable, and intelligent power. We design, engineer, manufacture, install, and support our systems end-to-end, standing behind them throughout their lifecycle. Torus systems help reduce costs, lower emissions, and protect facilities from outages, while strengthening the security and reliability of the broader utility grid. Torus is committed to American manufacturing, engineering excellence, and building energy systems that last.

Torus has raised over $267 million from investors like Magnetar, Mercado, ICONIQ and Origin Ventures. The investments are helping to accelerate deployment of modular power plants across utilities, data centers, and industrial sectors. This investor confidence reflects the strength of our team, technology as well as the scale of the problem we are solving.

At Torus, you will be part of something larger than a single product or technology. Your work will help build energy infrastructure that supports and strengthens our electrical grid, critical  systems, industry, and communities for decades to come. We value accountability, collaboration, and clear thinking. We are looking for people who want to solve hard problems and build things that matter.

You are a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment. Aligned with our core values of accountability and collaboration, you are an excellent communicator who can bridge gaps across departments—including production, purchasing, and quality—to keep orders on schedule. You take safety seriously, possess a strong spatial awareness for staging and material flow, and are always ready to adapt to changing day-to-day priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Material Delivery: Pull and deliver material and parts to workstations (laser, brake press, welding, machining, assembly) according to production schedules and job travelers.
  • Job Tracking: Track the status and location of jobs throughout the production floor; proactively flag delays, missing parts, or shortages to supervisors.
  • Order Expediting: Expedite priority or rush orders by coordinating with production, purchasing, and quality to keep jobs on schedule.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate forklift, overhead crane, and/or pallet jack to move material and finished goods safely.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory counts through cycle counts and system transactions (ERP/MRP updates).
  • Workspace Organization: Organize and maintain staging areas for efficient material flow, easy retrieval, and overall safety.
  • Supply Chain Communication: Communicate clearly with purchasing regarding material shortages or discrepancies.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Industry Background: 1+ years of experience in material handling, expediting, or logistics, preferably in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Reading: Ability to read job travelers, work orders, packing slips, and basic blueprints/part drawings.
  • Equipment Experience: Experience operating a forklift (certification is a plus, or a strong willingness to obtain it).
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including experience with ERP/MRP or inventory management systems.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability
