About the Role
This role is responsible for performing comprehensive financial analysis and operational oversight related to agency earnouts and acquisition initiatives. The Senior Analyst leads the preparation and review of earnout calculations – domestic and global, forecasts, and templates, ensuring alignment with purchase agreements, internal policies, and audit standards. The position is also responsible for managing deliverables such as Tax Form 8594, validating inputs and variances for cash forecasting, reviewing and approving wire payment requests, and communicating earnout results and tax documentation to partners. By providing detailed diligence, developing resolution strategies, and surfacing actionable insights, the Senior Analyst ensures accuracy and efficiency while supporting the Lead Analyst and Manager with escalated issues and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and conduct comprehensive end-to-end reviews, ensuring alignment with local GAAP and IFRS reporting standards, internal processes, and purchase agreements. Perform sophisticated analyses, present work for Lead and Manager review and approval.
- Perform end-to-end preparation and reconciliation of earnout calculation, ensuring that all materials meet the required quality standards for Lead level sign-off.
- Perform full diligence and root-cause analysis towards earnout disputes and resolutions.
- Review, validate, and communicate mid-year earnout forecasts to partners, escalating discrepancies as necessary.
- Build and reconcile new partner earnout templates directly against purchase agreements; resolve standard discrepancies; prepare for Lead review and forecasting integration.
- Validate inputs and perform in-depth variance analysis, investigating root causes and surfacing insights to support accurate cash forecasting.
- Confirm payment request is fully supported by reconciled calculations, contractual terms, and appropriate approvals. Ensure all audit requirements are met.
- Manage operational aspects of Form 8594 deliverables, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and effective/efficient distribution to partners.
- Oversees the accuracy and interpretation of earnout metrics, translating KPI results into actionable insights and communicating outcomes to cross-functional teams.
- Uphold confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial information in all operational activities.
- Provide support for special projects, strategic initiatives, and ad-hoc analysis as needed.
- Provide prompt, accurate, courteous, “best in class” service to partners, insurance companies, leadership team and all staff.
- Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to the design and implementation of solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:
- Advanced financial analysis and critical thinking skills, with the ability to conduct variance analysis and develop actionable insights.
- Proven ability to manage complex deliverables such as reconciliations, partner communications, and accounting reporting.
- Solid understanding of insurance industry financial practices and compliance considerations.
- Proficiency with GL systems and demonstrated ability to validate and interpret data for accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial results clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to lead cross-functional discussions, resolve issues independently, and mentor Analysts.
- Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to efficiency initiatives.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or the recognized equivalent in education and experience, preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in an accounting, auditing and/or financials analysis required.
