Bayside Social Work Intern Fall '25 - Spring '26

Bayside is a partial care program assisting youth, ages 11-17 years old, with emotional and behavioral needs through psycho-education, counseling and support 5 days per week. Bayside's goal is to prevent unnecessary hospitalization or effectively transition youth from hospitalization to successful home and community living. Bayside operates Monday to Friday, September through June from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and July and August from 10:45 am - 4:15 pm.

Position Title: Bayside Social Work Intern

Hours: M-F 10AM - 6PM, flexible

Bachelor's Social Work Intern:

• Participate in supportive counseling and case management services as appropriate
• Learn aspects of clinical documentation including progress notes and treatment planning
• Co-facilitate/facilitate psychoeducation and therapeutic groups
• Observe intakes and eventually conduct

Master's Social Work Intern

• Participate in supportive counseling, case management, and clinical services
• Clinical documentation as appropriate including progress notes, bio-psycho-social assessments, and treatment planning
• Facilitate psychoeducation and therapeutic groups
• Take on client or small caseload
• Observe and conduct intakes

Requirements

• Must be a current student in a health and human services field completing internship for school credits
• Internship must be approved through the student's school
