What You Will Be Doing
The Platform Business Unit is seeking an energetic leader who will report to the General Manager and manage our talented team of Technical Program Managers. You will manage and deliver on the full portfolio of large scale hardware system designs and datacenter infrastructure programs. You’ll be exercising independent judgment and developing recommendations that translate into a course of action.
- Summarize and report on all aspects of large engineering programs to the senior executive team. Identify risks and offer alternate strategies to stay on schedule and within budget.
- Inspire and coach a talented team of technical program managers delivering on hardware and infrastructure programs.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with multiple work streams that require inputs from cross-functional stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, Operations, and other business partners to develop plans, drive actions and resolutions.
- Provide project management, cross-functional coordination, and inter/intra team communications to deliver outstanding program outcomes on-time with high quality.
- Set goals for the program, track and periodically communicate to stakeholders as well as ensure corrective actions/mitigations as needed
- Understand high-level system design concepts and be able to set strategy for roadmaps so that we can use resources efficiently.
- Be the single point person for delivery decisions, exec and cross team communication and working with various functional groups to deliver the program
- Ensure clarity and communications across business units and geographies.
What You Bring To The Team
- Experience with large scaled NPI programs and/or infrastructure programs, and leading programs through Phase Gate process
- Proven expertise in managing projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, including investigation, design, execution and delivering products to market on schedule, and addressing feedback in development.
- Critical problem solving and work with various stakeholders on the foundation related areas, tracking and management
- Demonstrated change agent with capabilities to identify and deliver on process changes that would enable faster time to market while driving organization consistency and efficiency.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical, cross-functional groups.
- Solid project and technical judgment, demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to influence a growing organization
- Familiarity with Agile, OKRs and KPIs a plus
- 10+ years of combined experience managing a team of Technical Program Managers and/or being a TPM yourself
- BA/BS degree in a related field (eg., Engineering, Computer Science)
- MBA or Master’s degree in a management, technical or engineering field preferred.
