Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Tester in Irving, Texas. This position is with FSV Payment Systems, Inc., a U.S. Bank company.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Software Tester will develop test conditions and scenarios to validate business requirements; execute UAT scripts and complete problem logs; validate accuracy of user interface to include portals, websites and mobile applications; participate in resolution/retest of issues; test all opportunities assigned to respective agile team; responsible for tests that covers current and multiple sprints and releases; utilize knowledge of business functions and quality assurance technical skills; act as a test lead in the respective agile team and business purpose; triage reported defects from test cases and forward to agile team and product manager for resolution; perform testing of medium project sizes and complexities; lead testing on small and medium projects; assist other team members as opportunities are presented; act as an expert in testing associated business areas; deliver testing for projects via agile and waterfall methodologies related to non-agile opportunities; utilize ITIL and ISTQB processes; use testing application software including basic database queries and API operations. Multiple positions. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a UAT Analyst, UAT Test Consultant, QA Analyst, Test Analyst, or related.

Required Skills/Experience:       
Must possess 5 years of experience with the following: (a) creating Test summary reports and defect and execution metrics for projects; (b) following Agile Methodology and working in 2week sprints; (c) performing full cycles of sprint, regression, and User Acceptance testing on different card holder websites; (d) utilizing Jira to track and maintain Sprint Activities; (e) creating testing tasks for each story; (f) creating Test cases in Jira and logging blocking defects; (g) performing API Testing for stories that involve working with Postman; (h) uploading collections related to the story and gathering required test data; (i) sending and receiving API responses and validating the results; (j) Application delivery process; (k) System development life cycle; (l) IT standards, procedures, and policy; (m) Business assessment; (n) Software and IT quality assurance; (o) System and application testing; and (p) Requirements analysis. Experience may be gained concurrently. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location.
