Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a BE/BC Family Medicine Physician to join our dynamic team in Jackson, CA!

 

We are seeking a motivated and mission‑driven Family Medicine Core Faculty Physician to join our rural residency program. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to thrive in an academic environment, teach the next generation of physicians, and make a meaningful impact in a medically challenging rural community.

Position Highlights

• 0.5-0.7 FTE Faculty/Teaching + 0.3–0.5 FTE Clinical (flexible and negotiable)
• Core faculty rate: $171/hr (up to 0.7 FTE available)
• Work closely with Sacramento and Davis Faculty

Ideal Candidate

• Passion for teaching, curriculum involvement, and faculty development
• Inpatient experience is a plus
• OB optional, but welcomed

• Rural, full‑scope Family Medicine with high complexity

Qualifications

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine - Required

Must be qualified and appropriately credentialed physicians capable of providing clinical care and resident education. - RequiredMust maintain active clinical skills and provide direct patient care to model appropriate practice for residents. - RequiredMust be able to teach, supervise, and evaluate residents using ACGME competency‑based assessment frameworks.- RequiredMust participate in curriculum development, resident assessment, and program evaluation, contributing to continuous program improvement. - RequiredMust want to do a variety of procedures - Preferred
