Job Description:
This position is under the direction of and reporting to Service NPD Manager in Product Services. Primary duties are to report to / support in the research and execution of new product development, Service operations support within the New Product Development (VIGOR) Process. The Service New Product Development Coordinator will develop a base technical knowledge from an end user, distributor, and service standpoint, along with continuous improvement to service NPD processes.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Attend Service meetings with NPD and drive cross functional teams as needed while driving the NPD Process pertaining to Service.
- Lead process improvement strategies across NPD functions within Product Services Team.
- Coordinate with Product Marketing and Engineering in the development of new innovative products, to develop Service support and pipeline management for categories.
- Assist Service NPD Managers in developing Service processes for new product categories within all existing service locations and programs.
- Drive the NPD pipeline management and assist in development of 3-year product line plans, including initial Service support, long term after sales support strategy, and RGA disposition.
- Develop and maintain accurate service landscapes for each product category to assist the Service Team with new product Service Strategy setup throughout the service network.
- Manage and maintain Service Attributes in ERP System and eService.
- Lead cross functional meetings with global service regions and service support teams to drive service alignment.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related area
- A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a sales, marketing, process improvement, product development or related field
- Technical knowledge of tools preferred, but not necessary
- Position requires excellent analytic, written, verbal and interpersonal skills plus demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in PC skills including MS Office (specifically Power Point and Excel)
- Oracle application experience preferred
- Asana or similar Project Management application experience preferred
- Must have the ability to react to situations quickly and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Travel
Occasional travel required, typically 10%-15%. Trips are typically domestic, <1 week duration.
