This role is part of Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering (ACE), supporting Blue Origin’s mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. The team fosters innovation and drives engineering workflows of the future, shared solutions and standards, simplicity and lower costs, and manufacturable design.We are looking for a motivated engineer with a strong analytical background and proficiency in software engineering. Our goal is to reduce the cost of navigation systems for launch vehicles and space vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Design state estimation algorithms and develop flight code.
- Characterizing sensors (GNSS receivers, IMUs and star trackers). Collect data, perform trade studies, develop models.
- Verify and Validate navigation systems in a variety of test environments. Automate these test environments.
- Review flight and test data. Present results. Root cause problems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline
- Experience in at least one of the following programming languages: C++, Rust, Python or MATLAB.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in relevant engineering discipline
- Familiarity with Kalman filtering, GNSS, signal processing, orbit determination, Inertial navigation
- Hands-on lab experience: Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, soldering, ESD safety, microcontrollers, electronics prototyping, hardware-in-the-loop setups
- Expertise in safety-critical software development, embedded systems, device drivers, real-time operating systems
- Experience in development of launch vehicle or spacecraft through the full engineering lifecycle
Compensation Range for:
WA applicants is $104,015.00-$145,620.30Other site ranges may differ

Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
