We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a broad range of laboratory procedures in various areas, including phlebotomy, urinalysis, coagulation, hematology, immunohematology, blood gases, microbiology, and chemistry. This role requires the ability to carry out both manual and automated testing, with a high level of independence and minimal supervision.

WORK SCHEDULE:
- Day Shifts: 0600 to 1430, 0700 to 1530, and 0800 to 1630
- Evening Shifts: 1200 to 2030, 1400 to 2130, and 1400 to 2230
- Night Shifts: 2000 to 0630 and 2200 to 0630
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Perform and oversee clinical laboratory generalist duties across multiple areas of the laboratory.
- Conduct a wide variety of manual and automated testing procedures, including moderate and complex analysis.
- Develop, perform, evaluate, interpret, correlate, and validate laboratory procedures and results.
- Perform testing on various biological specimens using manual or automated techniques.
- Exercise independent judgment and responsibility while maintaining minimal technical supervision.
- Monitor and ensure quality control systems and measures are adhered to in the laboratory.
- Collaborate in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Provide education and guidance to laboratory and healthcare professionals, as well as the public, regarding laboratory practices.
- Adhere to all established patient safety and infection control standards of care.
- Prevent patient injury through diligent and accurate delivery of laboratory services.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Certification: Must be certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Medical Technologists (AMT), or the American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB). Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Must possess the skills necessary to fulfill the role, including the ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently.
- Compliance: Must provide verifiable evidence of educational and training experiences, and adhere to all regulations governing medical staff behavior.
- A minimum of 8 Board-Certified laboratory staff must be on-site daily.
- Responsible for coverage during periods of personnel vacancies due to sick leave, personal leave, vacations, and additional required coverage.
