We are looking for people and culture leaders who are bright, kind and motivated by challenge to join our team.

About the Role

We are seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a hands-on individual contributor role embedded in our Warehouse Operations team. You’ll work on-site at least 4 days a week and remotely one day each week. You’ll be a trusted partner to Warehouse Operations leaders and employees and People & Culture partner teams. You’ll spend your time balancing day-to-day “HR” needs of the site with strategic work like driving employee engagement, ensuring compliance, and supporting business results through people-focused solutions. You will be on a team of People & Culture Business Partners who are distributed across the country, so you’ll get the best of both worlds: in-person work and interactions at your site, and collaboration with remote leaders and team members as well.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Partner with site leaders as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, and development, supporting teams across all high volume organizations as-needed.
  • Balance both site-level and network-wide priorities to drive consistency in the SFIX employee experience across the broader Warehouse Operations team.
  • Conduct fair and thorough investigations into workplace concerns, ensuring alignment with Stitch Fix values.
  • Interpret data from Workday, people insights platforms, and Workforce Software reporting to proactively identify trends and guide business decisions.
  • Support onboarding, training, and engagement programs that strengthen culture, retention, and productivity.
  • Advise on HR policies, benefits, leave processes, and compliance requirements, mitigating risk across the business.
  • Manage HR documentation and transactions (organizational changes, terminations, unemployment claims, rehire eligibility).
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring timely and thoughtful responses.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to implement process improvements, manage change, and lead people-related projects.

We’re excited about you because you…

  • Have 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years resolving complex employee relations issues from intake through resolution.
  • Bring experience supporting both exempt and non-exempt (hourly) populations, ideally in high-volume environments such as warehousing, fulfillment, or retail.
  • Possess deep knowledge of employment laws and compliance (FMLA, LOA, accommodations, and HR policy administration) and can apply them with judgment and care in various settings.
  • Are skilled at coaching leaders and influencing stakeholders, balancing empathy with accountability.
  • Use data and trends to create clear narratives that shape business decisions and improve people outcomes.
  • Can independently navigate and create complex sheets, slides, and docs in Google Suite with proficiency.
  • Have strong workplace investigation and conflict resolution training and skills, with the ability to remain objective, discreet, and fair.
  • Communicate with employees of all levels in person, in writing, and virtually with clarity, empathy, and credibility, ensuring employees feel heard while leaders gain actionable insights.
  • Are curious, resilient, and solutions-oriented, thriving in ambiguity and seeing change as an opportunity to model a growth mindset and make a lasting impact on the business.
