?Job purpose
Represents the first point of contact and responds or directs people accordingly. Primary function is to answer phones, respond to member billing/inquiries, assist with membership and accounting practices and administer and maintain human resources reference material. Provide administrative support the F&B department.
Duties and responsibilities
- Represents the first point of contact and responds or directs people accordingly
- Ensure smooth operations and efficient management of F&B operations
- Responds to member billing and other inquiries
- Collect and audit vendor invoices, post all payables and process invoices for final payment in an appropriate and timely manner
- Maintain payroll records and prepare and submit bi-weekly payroll sheets
- Determine and forward delinquent notices and make member collection calls when necessary on past due accounts
- Purchase and maintain office supplies within budget as approved by the Director of Membership
- Provide clerical assistance for the Membership Director, Club Accountant and Corporate personnel
- Protect the assets of the club
- Assist with accounting practices as indicated by the Club Accountant
- Gather a working knowledge of the Club’s policies and essential playing information and communicate to members, golfers and other guests
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Two years of administrative support and office experience; or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Working conditions
Work is primarily indoors. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or being exposed to flying golf balls.

Physical requirements
- Good organizational and verbal skills. Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues. Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitor and develop subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas and write and read member communication.
- Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 30 lbs., and up to 20 lbs. frequently. Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping. Ability to lift, carry and equipment that may weigh 20 or more pounds, and sit for a sustained amount of time.
- Please be advised that all work that requires the use of a ladder more than 8 ft. long must be reviewed by Hampton Golf’s Club Maintenance person. Following an assessment of the situation, a determination will be made as to whether a maintenance team member or subcontractors will perform the necessary maintenance task. No other staff member is authorized to climb to heights exceeding 8 ft. and/or perform such maintenance.
