About the role - Explosives Inventory & Warehouse Operator (Macon NC)
Work schedule

- Monday through Friday
- Shift starts at 8:00 AM
- This position will require you to report to the Orica work site five days a week
What you will be doing
- Safely handle, store, and move explosives in and out of the magazine in line with site and regulatory requirements.
- Complete daily dispatch and receiving, ensuring all paperwork and SAP entries are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, monthly physicals, and ATF tracking.
- Load, unload, stage, and organize product for deliveries using pallet jacks and manual handling.
- Manage stock levels and coordinate incoming/outgoing shipments to keep product available for the field.
- Keep the magazine compliant, secure, and within explosive limits at all times.
- Follow all safety requirements, maintain housekeeping, stop unsafe work, and respond to site emergencies as needed.
- Support the site team with inspections, reporting, and day-to-day coordination to keep operations running smoothly.
What you will bring
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks in a fast-paced field environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining accurate inventory and records.
- Commitment to safety, including consistent use of PPE, safe equipment operation, and looking out for team members.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools are a plus.
Physical requirements
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, with some indoor work as needed.
- Lift up to 60 lbs and carry 50 lbs or more of products and materials.
- Perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, bending, and squatting while using equipment.

Flexibility to work extended hours and adjust schedule as needed to keep site operations running safely and efficiently.
Your qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
- Experience with SAP or similar inventory systems is a plus.
