About the role

PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgical Pathologist to join our hospital-based team at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. This is a full-time position offering a dynamic and varied case mix, collaborative medical staff, and the support of PathGroup’s extensive subspecialty network. The ideal candidate will demonstrate diagnostic strength in general surgical pathology - including GI, breast, GYN, and GU, and a commitment to excellence in patient care and pathology services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sign-out of general surgical pathology and cytology cases
  • Frozen section interpretation and intraoperative consultation
  • Participation in tumor boards, quality initiatives, and clinical case discussions
  • Collaborative engagement with hospital clinicians and lab professionals
Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • AP/CP Board Certification or Eligibility
  • Kentucky medical license or eligibility required
  • Excellent diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with commitment to service and quality
