In this role, you will be an essential member of a diverse and committed team of individuals working hard to prepare our youth for life. The youth we serve have experienced some significant trauma in their past so you will be working with a team trained in trauma-informed care. Your primary focus in this role will be providing individual and family therapy.

Position Summary: At Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch our Clinical Program Therapists are an integral part of the interdisciplinary care team for adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral, psychiatric, and developmental challenges. They provide evidence-based interventions to promote the mental health and well-being of the youth on their caseload. This position involves conducting assessments and developing treatment plans based on varying diagnoses. Clinical Program Therapists are also responsible for working with different funding agencies, complying with external contract requirements, and federal and state guidelines for PRTF.

Starting Salary Range: Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant’s education and relevant experience.

  • Current Montana SWLC, or PCLC, or MFLC range is $2,225.60 - $2,504.93 biweekly
  • Current Montana LCSW, or LCPC, or LMFT range is $2,535.37 - $2,853.58 biweekly

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: 

  1. Provide, at a minimum, weekly individual and family therapy and twice weekly group therapy in accordance with standards of practice and needs of the youth and family.
  2. Complete all clinical paperwork in a timely fashion according to YBGR standards and applicable licensing and accreditation standards.
  3. Lead interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings rotating educational planning and team meetings. Responsible for the completion of all Therapy, milieu, and discharge planning documentation for MTPR’s. Understand and communicate the justification for continued need for treatment at a PRTF level of care.
  4. Adhere to code of ethics including: The Child and Youth Worker Code of Ethics, The National Association of Social Worker Code and The American Psychological Association Code
  5. Complete psychological testing and intakes as assigned by supervisor.
  6. Perform duties related to licensure as an independent practitioner to include but not limited to, on call on a rotating basis, providing clinical training to team members and peers and supervision of master level interns.

Qualifications


  • 21 years old or older
  • Criminal / Child Abuse Clearance: Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana.
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or similar field
  • Professional License
    • Clinical Program Therapist 1 – Current Montana SWLC, or PCLC, or MFLC or obtain within 6 months of date of hire.
    • Clinical Program Therapist 2 – Current Montana LCSW, or PCLC, or LMFT

Required Abilities/Skills

  • Ability to relate and build rapport with youth and families therapeutically.
  • Ability to work in cooperation and collaboration with treatment team
  • Ability to adhere to code of ethics including: The Child and Youth Worker Code of Ethics, The National Association of Social Worker Code and The American Psychological Association Code
  • Ability and willingness to maintain and enhance clinical skill set
  • Knowledge of and ability to maintain professional therapeutic boundaries and confidentiality with youth and families.
  • Knowledge of behavior modification and age-appropriate child development
  • Good computer skills and able to quickly learn and use YBGR selected software solutions.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills
