Device Research and Early Development Engineer Co-Op 

         

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role are to: 

• Develop test fixtures to be used for characterize of medical devices;
• Develop test methods and protocols to be used for evaluation of medical devices;
• Setup and execute experimental tests in a laboratory setting to provide data indicating the performance of medical devices;
• Contribute to the development of data analysis tools to improve the efficiency of evaluating experimental results;
• Prepare of formal test reports to provide a record of testing activities and results;
• Prepare and present findings to cross functional program teams;
• Contribute to deliverables of support fielded products and required documentation for products under development.

 

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program and returning to their program following completion of the co-op;
• Knowledge and application of engineering and scientific concepts;
• Ability to apply technology, engineering concepts and methodologies to develop solutions;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to work independent as wellas in a team-oriented environment;
• Experience with data analysis in Python;
• Experience with development of automated test tools;
• Previous lab or medical device experience;
• Experience or exposure to hardware design or rapidprototyping.
