We are seeking a Lifestyles Associate to join our community committed to delivering outstanding food to our residents. As a Lifestyles Director, you will serve to enhance the overall positive experience and enrichment of residents through the initial and ongoing planning, development, and implementation of programming including but not limited to individual or group leisure, social, spiritual, physical, intellectual, and occupational interests, meeting or exceeding the needs, enjoyment, and fulfillment of members/residents.

What you'll do:

1. Plan, develop, and implement resident lifestyle service functions to maximize the enjoyment and fulfillment of participants.

2. Create and fully develop planning and comprehensive programming for an inclusive array of functions, including large groups, small groups and individual participation.

3. Produce and refine member survey to maximize understanding of desires and interests for maximum member engagement.

4. Maintain communications through various forms of media including but not limited to social apps, inter-community technology, newsletters, community announcements, regularly scheduled meetings.

5. Establish and maintain contemporary menu of local services and amenities for enjoyment, made available for members and guests such as bankers, salons, shopping, and personal services.

6. Establish and maintain local relationships and internal listings with special interest providers for leisure enjoyment such as restaurants, museums, studios, and other venues.

7. Serve as advocate, listening and responding to any/all member or resident concerns, suggestions, and ideas.

8. Coordinate and facilitate volunteer programming both internally and externally.

9. Facilitate documentation of all programs and services for use in social media and highlighting of Buckner lifestyle enrichment through photographs and other methods.

10. Operate lifestyle services through planning and operating within annual and ongoing planning including budgetary guidelines.

11. Participate in ongoing member feedback activities, including semi-annual satisfaction surveys, and seek to understand feedback provided, and take action in areas of improvement or refinement as needed.

12. Participate in scheduled hospitality, sales-culture, and first-impressions meetings.

13. Identify and coordinate on-site business meetings; and other events for members as well as guests and prospective members as requested.

14. Participate in local associations and groups with memberships and agendas that impact area seniors.

15. Assists in special event planning such as on-site or off-site programs to benefit members and promote the lifestyle at Buckner.

 

 What you’ll bring:

• A minimum of (3) years’ experience or a combination of education and/or experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university, with experience in the senior housing industry or event planning preferred.
• Commitment to work some evenings and weekends for special events, as needed.
• Demonstrated affinity toward senior adults.
• Ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all laws applicable; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under Buckner’s insurance policy. Must be age 21 or older to drive on behalf of Buckner.
• Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people.
• Ability to walk, stand and sit, sometimes for prolonged periods of time.
