Franchise Business Intern

This internship provides exposure to the Franchise Governance Operating Model and offers experience in supporting franchise operations. This intern will assist in maintaining franchise processes, tools, templates, resources, and compiling data and reports. This role will also support compliance initiatives and will participate in ongoing projects.

Responsibilities:

• Provides consultation and guidance to franchisees and internal stakeholders.
• Maintains and analyzes complex data, trends, and risks to inform decision-making.
• Performs a variety of transactional, repeatable, administrative tasks.
• Maintains the Ops Manual and franchise portal for the Franchise System.
• Oversees franchisee adherence and the administration of reporting processes, compliance, and documentation procedures.
• Creates e-mails, reports, documents, agendas, action items, and presentations as required to help move business decisions forward.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education:   

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree or
• Currently enrolled in College and have completed a minimum of 80 hours
• Equivalent experience to an Associate’s degree

Experience: 

• 0 – 3 months experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:   

• Demonstrated ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Proficiency in data entry and MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

• Proficiency in Workday preferred

• Elementary knowledge of practices and procedures in a particular field of specialization in the execution of assigned duties and responsibilities
• Elementary understanding of departmental structure and policies of Whataburger Restaurants LLC

Working Conditions/Travel Requirements: 

• Expected to work the necessary time to satisfactorily fulfill job responsibilities
• Must be able to report to work timely and as required by operational/business needs
• Some travel, both locally and long distances, (including air travel), to worksites, meeting sites, and other locations may be necessary
