Commercial Electrical Forman (Experience Required)

Job Summary:

The Commercial Electrician will be responsible for installing commercial electrical wiring, lighting, and electrical components according to local NEC codes.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day activities of assigned crew

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Communicate effectively with the customer and support staff.

· Follows OSHA rules and regulations to work safely.

· Digs underground trenches for conduit installation.

· Cutting, bending, threading, and running electrical conduit.

· Terminating electrical panels, install fixtures, and various electrical devices.

· Installs EMT, PVC, GRC, and other conduit and cable systems.

· Install panels, disconnect, meters, and other gear related items.

· Interpret and install building lighting controls.

· Inspects and tests related electrical installation.

· Uses lifts, excavators, telehandlers, and other equipment during the installation process.

· Operates power tools and equipment.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Working knowledge of installation and repair of electrical systems.

· Working knowledge of National Electric Code.

· Ability to interpret plans, specifications and other construction documents.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Good work ethic and willingness to learn new methods.

· Self-motivated and driven to get job done.

· Proficient in electrical system diagnostics.

· Excellent mechanical skills.

 

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Completion of a formal apprenticeship preferred.

· Current clean driving record required.

 

Physical Requirements:

· Physically able to work with heavy tools and equipment at heights.

· Must be able to lift 60 pounds at a time.
