Executive Assistant, On Site, Full Time, Day Shift

The Executive Assistant for the the Sisters of Providence Mother Joseph Administrative Center will receive work projects from the Core Team and Senior Management Team, primarily in support of the Chief Operations Officer and the Communications and Development Manager.  The mission of the staff is to support the efforts of the Congregation of the Sisters of Providence, especially the Sisters supported by the Mother Joseph Administrative Center, in the fulfillment of their mission and responsibilities. The staff provides support services in the areas of administration, archives, communications, development, finance and project coordination. The Mother Joseph Administrative Center staff, in carrying out their responsibilities, joins with Leadership Team in supporting the Mission of the Sisters of Providence to serve the poor and marginalized, seeking ways to support peace, justice and environmental sustainability and nurture a team spirit and service mentality among all colleagues consistent with the mission and values of SP Administrative Centers.

The function of the position actively incorporates the Mission and Values of the Sisters of Providence Congregation and the Mother Joseph Administrative Center.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: 2 years of university or college training in English, Liberal Arts or related subjects; or graduation from a technical program in Secretarial or Office Support Services. or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years experience as an administrative assistant or executive assistant, including a minimum of 2 years working directly for a corporate executive or the equivalent
  • 4 years experience in planning and coordinating department related meetings, programs, procedures and scheduling to facilitate projects and activities
  • 3 years experience in being responsible for planning administrative, secretarial and office related assignments to accomplish multiple job responsibilities that are time sensitive, as well as demonstrated ability to plan efficient and accurate procedures to handle and track the status of materials and documents for special events, mailings and projects
  • 3 years experience in a work setting where providing support and secretarial services for several persons and having to coordinate multiple demands and meet due dates as directed
