CYS Assistant Facility Director NF-04

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Education: Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in child development, early childhood education, elementary or secondary education, home economics (early childhood emphasis), elementary education, special education, or other fields appropriate to the position. - For positions in School-Age facilities, the education must have been in any of the fields above. OR one of the following: Combination of education and experience as stated below in Option 1 & 2: Option 1: A combination of education and experience. Education: 24 semester hours in the majors stated above or a related field (see above), plus appropriate experience. Experience: Candidate must also possess all of the following: 1. 12 months experience working in group programs with children/youth as well as demonstrated knowledge in theories and principals of child growth/youth development of which 6 months must be in a supervisory position. 2. The McCormick Credential. OR Option 2: A combination of education and experience. Education: 24 semester hours in the majors stated above or a related field (see above), plus appropriate experience. Experience: Candidate must also possess all of the following: 1. At least 12 months experience working in group programs with children/youth as well as demonstrated knowledge in theories and principals of child growth/youth development of which 12 months must be in a supervisory position. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred:" Posses BOTH of the following: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with a National Credentialing body [Example: Council of Accreditation (COA), National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)] Work experience with 4-H and Boys & Girls Club of America programs This experience must be clearly defined on your resume to be considered for Highly Preferred status. Highly Preferred candidates may be sent first for consideration.
