Working as part of a cross-functional team, the Senior Manager, Biscuit Innovation, NA within R&S will identify, define and solve complex business problems by applying your broad and in-depth technical knowledge. This role requires you to interact with senior management and cross-functional teams to meet current and future strategic demands of the business.

How you will contribute

You will plan, lead and manage complex technically focused projects while using your technical expertise to guide, direct and influence activities lead by others. To ensure the right solutions are developed, you will use consumer knowledge and your technical expertise to identify future opportunities and to execute programs with technical rigor. This role will require you to work with cross-functional partners develop and align resource and budget needs for projects. You will be responsible for the technical outcomes of developments related to evaluating new ingredients, formulas, recipes and processes and understanding the impact on scale up between laboratory and production facilities. You will also be responsible for quantifying the technical risks to make recommendations and influence stakeholders. As a people leader, you will mentor and coach others to grow their technical talent.

More about this role

Leading NA Biscuit Innovation to deliver beyond the core innovation.  This role will create an innovation funnel to deliver on the growth ambition of the Biscuit pillars of sweet and savory biscuits while also identifying cross pillar scalable innovation.

• Shape the future by collaborating with cross-functional teams to co-create brand innovation roadmaps and influence stakeholder decisions through compelling storytelling.

• Identify technical pathways, from leveraging existing assets to exploring new technologies,

• Co-create and deliver consumer-centric solutions with innovation excellence leveraging internal and external expertise while managing risk and challenges.

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Food Science or Science related

• 10 or more years of work experience required

• Experience in the food industry is required

• Commercialization experience is required

• Knowledge of biscuit formulation/processes is a plus

• Strong technical skills, consumer centric foundation and technical curiosity

• Collaborative leadership experienced in stakeholder management and communication

• Strong thought leadership in shaping the future

• Creative problem solving to overcome challenges and deliver innovative solutions

• Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization

• Ability to travel up to 10-15% of the time

• This is a full-time role based in East Hanover, NJ

The base salary range for this position is $137,300 to $188,825; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
