Background:
The role of Category Finance BP Manager is to support Sr. Finance BP Manager and Marketing Category Team on strategic plan modelling, financial support for innovation projects and business cases, financial support for projects and budget control of category costs. Finance BP Manager will also need to work directly with Business Leaders, advising on all financial issues and ensuring the effective execution of change.
Key responsibilities:
Performance Measurement / Business Strategy
- Track progress vs. KPIs (financial and non-financial)
- Prepare business cases and ROI
- Assist the team in any financial information they need while working on business cases, Strategies, etc.
- Partnering Brand Managers, supporting the development and implementation of Category strategy.
- PH creation & pricing template works
- Ad hoc analysis of data to arrive at actionable insights to support category growth
Innovative Business Partnering – Business Cases
- Working with the cross-functional team to generate scenarios and recommendations to maximize financial and strategic delivery of innovations
- Preparing business case summaries for the Category LT meeting
- Filing the business cases according to the Innovation Planning Management template and make sure to upload them to the system before each gate keeping
Budget and Budgetary Control
- Monthly review of budget vs. actual and highlighting teams on over & under spends
- Periodic update of budget to reflect change in plan and activities
- Responsible for monthly results preparation and analysis
In all the above, the incumbent will be actively engaging not just with the local team, but also the extended Regional/ Global Category Finance team.
The incumbent will be required to work with employees from junior to senior work levels for most part of his/her time, sometimes supporting high level on their request for financial analysis. Thus, sound business knowledge of the category will be required.

- Strong analytical, influencing, business partnering, and communication and interpersonal skills is key for the job
- Good working knowledge of management accounting and financial accounting principles/policies
- Business and Performance reporting, financial planning and forecasting, project costing and decision support and ad hoc evaluation
- Knowledge in PBI & good excel skills
- Methodical approach and problem-solving skill
- Strong Insights, strategy and solutions
Relevant Experience
Essential:
- Experience in core Finance in an operating company will be an added advantage
- Ability to deal with large number of contacts, across countries, and including senior management in Category.
- Business partnering experience will be preferred
- To good at Microsoft excel and power point
Desirable:
- A recognized degree in Accounting, ACCA and CIMA preferred.
- Experiences in working in World Class Business Organization
- Able to work and communicate with diverse people
