About the role
<p><span>As a Microsoft Senior Data Center IT Support Technician (DCT), you will provide IT support for secure access workstations (SAWs) laptops, servers as well as conference rooms Audio/Visual(A/V). You will also maintain inventory of spare devices for the sites and make sure the latest updates and operating systems(OS) are installed on the devices.</span></p><p> </p><p><span>Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I DCT, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. <p> </p><p><strong><span>Responsibilities</span></strong></p><p> </p><ul><li><span>Providing Tier 2 support for secure devices used by technicians in production space. </span></li><li><span>Managing, ordering, configuration and deployment of secured devices and storage to new sites </span></li><li><span>Managing inventory of devices for use by Metro staff </span></li><li><span>Managing and maintaining digital signage system across metro </span></li><li><span>Providing general IT support including but not limited to laptops/desktops, device resets, 2FA, network printer fleet, label and rack printers, network issues, desk patching... </span></li><li><span>Managing, maintaining and replenishing stock levels of preapproved items for use by campus staff. </span></li><li><span>Maintaining and troubleshooting issues with conference rooms </span></li><li><span>Providing support at live events </span></li><li><span>Maintaining Blannco devices. </span></li><li><span>Building strong working relationships with people working within the data center and at corporate. </span></li><li><span>Ensuring SAW devices are in a “healthy” state, meeting Security’s compliance standard. </span></li><li><span>Receiving confidential information to perform BIOS setting changes. </span></li><li><span>Managing SAW inventory, including ordering, receiving, assigning/re-assigning, and decommissioning devices. </span></li><li><span>Providing guidance to users for common SAW repair issues and escalating issues experienced by users. </span></li><li><span>Performing Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) for SAWs damaged within the first 30 days of receipt. </span></li><li><span>Providing Senior Data center Technician-level support when needed. Responsibilities include performing power cycles, swap out failed components, handling storage media, and perform troubleshooting when needed.
