About the role

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Global Programs & Partnerships (GPP), this position will support the daily operations and routines in GPP, and to provide application and communications support for the Berklee on the Road, Berklee Latino and other GPP programs. This role will act as a general office assistant for the department.

Job Description:

  • Support the daily operations of GPP, including front line reception, meeting scheduling, email communications, and research tasks;

  • Support the daily processing of applications for all programs, including communications with program applicants;

  • Manage receipt of and reconciliation of program payments;

  • Carry out regular maintenance of records in the database systems, reconciling data across all departmental platforms, and supply weekly reports, as requested;

  • Manage and work daily in database systems such as Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel;

  • Support travel planning tasks including liaising with Berklee employees, travel agency, and other internal and external partners;

  • With Associate Director, assist in generating social media content and with management of social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and others;

  • Manage mass email communications with program applicants regarding stages of their application and to provide program updates;

  • Answer inquiries about area programs and applications via phone, email, and in-person, using clear and professional language;

  • For bilingual candidates, translation of communications and materials, as needed depending on the language;

  • Maintain a high level of communication with the Associate Director and Program Manager to obtain project specifications and expectations, and provide deliverable deadlines;

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Qualified candidates will have experience that shows they have strong interpersonal skills and are motivated, highly organized, attentive to detail, sensitive to confidential information, mature and responsible. Additionally, candidates will have a demonstrated background in Macintosh desktop, spreadsheets, and cloud-based publishing tools; and systems such as Google Drive, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and social media platforms.

Required Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree required. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in customer service, ideally having worked in a customer service environment for at least 1-year. Additionally, candidates should have experience with data entry.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Additionally, strong candidates may also have the following experience: basic knowledge of CRM systems, graphic design and video editing software; experience with social media accounts and marketing campaigns; knowledge of contemporary music and applications of music technology are a plus.

Language: English (required); second languages, especially Spanish, are preferred.

Years Of Experience: 2+ years of professional work experience

Level of Education: 4-year degree

Job Duration: 12 weeks with potential to be extended

Hiring Range:

The hourly rate for this role is $25 per hour.
