Job Summary:
The Senior Data Quality Associate is responsible for monitoring data quality trends across the client base and participating in high level projects to improve data delivery, efficiency, and accuracy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for independent portfolio account reconciliation, validation, and analysis of data issues with various types of portfolio accounts maintained in ENV platforms.
- Daily monitoring and addressing of requests received to the team via Zendesk tickets, email, and Service tasks/requests.
- In-depth analysis of all Portfolio Account Reconciliation questions, trouble shoot issues, and fix or suggest immediate workarounds to meet the delivery expectations.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with both internal client service teams and external clients to foster a cooperative environment for the resolution of problems and/or errors.
- Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with all operation and technology teams to ensure a productive environment exists for problem resolution.
- Collaboratively works with clients and Envestnet service teams to solve operational issues related to portfolio accounting data, reconciliation, and delivery questions.
- Facilitate best practice process management with various operational and administrative areas of the organization, including making suggestions for improved client service, quality control, and risk management procedures.
- Oversees these activities and help client servicing teams in reviewing escalated items or do a secondary review on items already resolved but in dispute by clients etc.
- Participate in client calls to discuss on various performance items such as report availability, print vendor configuration, QPR (Quarterly Performance Report) items etc.
- Ensures all client-based service level agreements are met.
- Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
- As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, with Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or business management concentration preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry with a strong understanding in investment/Portfolio accounting process.
- Must have background in data reconciliation process and performance analysis of a portfolio accounting system.
- Working knowledge of the financial capital market industry and an understanding of various types of investment vehicles and their characteristics.
- Proficiency in doing thorough analysis of data and providing well-founded recommendations.
- Work as a member of a team with collaborative decision making.
- Strong information-gathering and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate with others in a concise, productive, and professional manner – both verbally and in writing.
- Must have strong problem solving and Analytical skills.
- Must be able to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and pay close attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft office tools like MS-excel/access.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services or related industry with a client service/operational support background with existing hands-on portfolio accounting knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge in SQL and any Data management tools are preferred.
