About the role

Overview:

NetSuite is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Commercial Contracts to join our team!  In this role, you will oversee a team of six senior approvers who review and analyze customer contract change requests and redlines. You will work closely with various internal functional collaborators such as Legal, GBP, HQAPP, Sales leadership, and others to come up with ideas and alternatives to resolve customer requests and provide the Sales team with extensive approval input and guidance to obtain required approvals to drive deals to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the Contracts team in working with internal and external customers to fulfill sales agreements, service agreements, renewals, and IT assessments.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills, capabilities, and professional growth.
  • Proactively deliver accurate, high-quality guidance and direction to the sales team with respect to the best structure of complex non-standard deals, deal strategy, the company’s internal approval and deal processes, and the rationale behind the company’s practices, policies, and contract terms. 
  • Guide or lead negotiations with customers and work with Sales and customers in explaining Oracle’s contracting structure and terms and conditions and the rationale for what Oracle is and is not able to accept in a contract negotiation.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key customers and internal collaborators to understand their evolving needs, preferences, and challenges. Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, proactively finding opportunities to add new value and drive satisfaction.
  • Effectively allocate resources and manage workload distribution among the Sales Contracts team to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency. Support Contract Analyst preparation of customer documentation as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for diagnosing and resolving critical issues, ensuring swift and effective resolution.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in contract analysis to include approval, structuring, negotiating, and drafting of complex contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience managing/supervising a team.
  • BA/BS in a related degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Previous experience in enterprise software industry/SaaS and/or NetSuite is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in working with senior leadership, legal, deal management and sales, among others.
  • Superior communication skills, attention to detail with solid ability to effectively delegate is critical for success.
  • Solid ability to effectively delegate.
  • Willingness to work extended hours during busy monthly, quarterly and yearly close times.
  • Travel is negligible-less than 5%.
  • Open to role being remote or in hub office location

US: Hiring Range: from $109,100 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
