The Isaacs Center focuses primarily on the needs of children and low-income families, out-of-school and out-of-work youth, and aging New Yorkers. Program Description: Goddard Riverside invests in people & strengthens community, serving more than 20,000 people throughout New York City with a variety of programs for all ages. We work within a social justice framework to create a fair and just society where all people have the opportunity to make choices that lead to better lives for themselves and their families.
Goddard’s newest endeavor will be a transitional Site for adult families. This site will be a place where families can feel safe, receive resources and supportive services, while becoming acclimated to, and part of, the community.
The Monument is an emergency capacity transitional site located in Manhattan in the Upper West Side.
Position Summary: To serve as lead RA for the scheduled shift and is responsible for assuring the general welfare and safety of the residents, staff, and the facility. The Senior RA is expected to ensure quality service deliverables by overseeing the daily residential services and inspections, in order to ensure that all residents’ goals, targets, and performance outcomes are met on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. Residential Aid staff are the first welcoming face new families are greeted by!
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 3pm-11pm (35hrs per week)
Salary Range: $43,000-$47,000
Bilingual: $45,000-$47,000
Non-bilingual: $43,000-$45,000
Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.

Serve as the Senior Residential Aid and ensure all RA responsibilities are being conducted effectively and efficiently based on agency protocols.
Assist in the monitoring and development of resident’s daily independent living skills.
Monitor and ensure quality intake services are being provided to clients.
Cultivate professional and positive relationships with residents.
Utilize evidence-based practice models including person centered planning, motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, culturally aware, and strengths-based approaches.
Assist Case Managers with groups as needed
Perform and confirm all daily room and bed inspections are taking place.
Manage operations desk: ensure documentation of client whereabouts, answer phones when necessary.
Work collaboratively with building staff to assist tenants and ensure tenant safety.
Document incidents onsite in CARES and send to Goddard Incident Report Committee.
Report any concerns on quality service deliverables to management in a timely manner.
Monitor common areas to ensure proper usage.
Conduct intakes during evenings, overnights, and weekends as needed.
Document in CARES intake system and ensure all clients are admitted in a timely fashion.
Provide daily food service and ensure food delivery is stored immediately.
Help maintain the cleanliness of the building and monitor common areas.
Participate in staff meetings where resident issues, operations, policies, procedures, and program outcomes are discussed.
Work some holidays to ensure proper coverage of residence.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience in shelter or residential setting.
Fluency in English and any language required to effectively meet the linguistic needs of our diverse resident community is essential.
A Food Protection Certificate will be required during first few weeks of hire.
F-80 certification will be required within first 3 months of hire.
