About the role

  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger by preparing and posting journal entries for various accounts, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Support the month-end close process, including preparing accruals, estimates, and reconciliations for assigned areas, and analyzing financial statement accounts.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cash reconciliations to ensure all cash transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled with bank statements. 
  • Assist with the accounting and reporting of debt transactions, including interest accruals, payments, and reconciliations. Ensure proper documentation and accounting for debt instruments, amortizations, and covenant compliance.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports related to general ledger, cash, and debt, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal reporting requirements.
  • Identify and recommend scalable improvements to accounting processes related to general ledger, cash, and debt management to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), GAAP, and internal policies related to cash, debt, and general accounting activities. Help maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with external and internal audit requests related to general ledger, cash, and debt, providing accurate and timely information as needed.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by the Accounting Manager or senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present data and insights clearly.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, supporting process improvements and the overall success of the accounting department.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with a proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
