About the role

Access Services is hiring a caring and professional Team Lead to join our Dresher, PA Day Program! 

As a Team Lead in our Life Day Program, you will have the opportunity to provide personalized supports to adults with developmental disabilities/Autism who attend our Community Life Day Programs as well as support our staff who work with our program attendees. Our quality-focused support staff work with the individuals’ goals and help those individuals maintain or increase their independence and live their best lives! 

Your main goals as a team lead will be plan and provide life skills, pre-vocational training, social and recreation opportunities to the program attendees as well as support the program specialist with the supervision of direct care staff and program implementation. 

Essential Functions: 

1.   Work shifts as assigned by the program specialist with the highest degree of dependability. Work on special assignments as needed. 

3.   Maintain a cooperative and caring attitude toward others with a view of seeing the needs of others as more important than your own. 

4.   Conduct and facilitate the implementation of Individualized Support Plans. 

5.   Ensure own proper conduct and fair representation of Access Services. 

6.   Maintain effective working relationships with personnel from state and local agencies to coordinate the delivery of services for individuals. 

7.   Report any operational or staff issues according to Access Services’ established policies and procedures. 

8.   Ensure the highest quality of care to individuals in helping them meet their needs. 

9.   Maintain complete and accurate petty cash documentation. 

10. Complete daily program schedule and transportation schedule as assigned for program staff and consumers. 

11. Maintain certification in Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) Medication Administration course. 

12. Assist with obtaining and maintaining volunteer sites. 

13. Develop activities to enhance individual growth. 

14. Provide direct supervision of designated program support staff including, but not limited to,  

 the completion of performance feedback and regular supervision meetings.   

15. Attend annual ISP and team meetings for individuals in the program as assigned. 

16. Complete paperwork and obtain the documentation needed to ensure that individual files  

 are in compliance with licensing regulations as assigned. 

17. Participate in regular meetings with leadership to discuss consistency in scheduling  

 practices, develop new ideas and enhance communication and teamwork between the    

 program locations. 

18. Perform daily checks of progress notes to ensure compliance. 

19. Provide direct care hours. 

20. Maintain regular and predictable attendance, and work scheduled overtime, or be available  

for unplanned overtime as necessary, to meet program needs. 

Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications 

Candidates must meet all qualifying and ongoing job criteria including background checks, physical examination results, and clearances.  

  • A high school diploma or GED.  
  • A valid driver's license, and access to a reliable vehicle during work hours.  
  • A U.S. driver’s license for at least two years (not including time with a permit).  
  • Must be listed as a driver on a valid auto insurance policy.  
  • Ability to drive both your personal vehicle and a company-provided vehicle during work hours. 

Preferred Certifications:  

If you do not have these certifications, they are required to be completed within six months of hire, and Access Services will provide the training and certifications. 

  • First Aid and CPR 
  • Medication Administration 
  • Safe Crisis Management 
  • Community Participation Supports for DSP  

 

Experience: Three (3) years of direct care experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • Knowledge of crisis intervention and behavioral management techniques and principles. 
  • Knowledge and ability to develop and write appropriate outcome statements.  
  • Ability to teach others.  
  • Proficiency in, or ability to learn and use, MS Office Suite, Word and Excel. 
  • Proficiency in, or ability to learn and use, workplace applications, platforms and technologies. 
  • Ability to appropriately and successfully use the enkompas service desk ticketing system.  
  • Ability to navigate network drives and basic hardware use and troubleshooting.
