Summary:
The NPC Analyst is responsible for the development, analysis, and reporting of relevant information to support the decision making and execution of the NPC Project Portfolio. This individual is responsible for the administration of the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Enterprise System tools used to support NPC and for leading and managing the Current Product Launch Request (CPLR) Process, which controls the launch of existing products into new geographic markets. PPM Administration includes system administration, end user training/support, development/administration of reports, and coordination of software upgrades. CPLR Administration will include tracking CPLR project execution, governance facilitation, and maintenance of deliverable records. This individual may also be tasked with supporting/leading projects that aim to improve the NPC processes; this may involve data analysis in support of Post Launch Review (PLR) or as part of pre-charter Front End Innovation (FEI). As part of Global R&D, this individual will support the NPC Manager and work closely with the Director R&D PMO, Director IMO, project teams, cross-functional resource managers and Business Teams to plan, execute, and measure the NPC Project Portfolio. Responsibilities:
- Responsibility: Provide data management, user support, and continuous improvement of the PPM Enterprise System Tool to ensure meaningful NPC Project Portfolio Management.
- Work with project leaders to ensure relevant NPC project data is captured in the PPM Enterprise System Tool. Maintain, monitor, and review project and resource information to ensure data accuracy and coordinate with project leaders for resolution.
- Work closely with Manger, NPC to plan and implement changes to PPM Enterprise System Tool to ensure the most current project management methodologies and processes are reflected per on-going continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proactively seek needs and draw insights from Global cross functional resource managers and project leaders to ensure the data capture and recorded in the PPM Enterprise System Tool delivers value to support decision making for NPC.
- Maintain an understanding of the organization’s related work management processes, and the organization’s planning, scheduling, and timesheet reporting practices.
- Develop and deliver system training (initial and remedial) to new/existing NPC PPM Enterprise System Tool users.
- Assist NPC PPM Enterprise System Tool users with day -to-day questions and issue resolution. Provide a central point of contact for technical/application assistance.
- Responsibility: Support the NPC Project Portfolio Management cycle through analytics, insights, and reporting.
- Support the annual NPC Project Portfolio Planning Cycle. Develop scenarios for resource planning and portfolio value measurement in order to support project prioritization.
- Analyze project execution data and present information to project leaders, resource managers, and executives to support result reporting, planning, and decision making. Data analysis can include but not limited to resource needs and utilization, project planning (timing and budgeting), project health, and actual project data results.
- Manage requests and needs for reporting to satisfy requirements by different types of users and various levels within the organization. Determine if information required is available through existing reports. If so, make recommendations to users for appropriate reports and run reports if needed. Lead efforts to develop custom reports when needed which could include designing and creating reports, partnering with IT to develop reports, or outsourcing the development using consultants.
- Together with NPC Manger and Finance, track and analyze relevant data in order to report on NPC Metrics. Prepare metrics reporting, stay current with industry best practices, and recommend changes to metrics as appropriate.
- Create and maintain SharePoint site including the SPRING site to enable collaboration, provide information, and serve as a resource for gaining templates and/or other types of documents.
- Responsibility: Champion NPC Continuous Improvement Processes
- Working with the NPC Manager, identify and execute projects that improve the existing NPC processes aligning with industry best practices.
- Serve as the Process Leader for the Current Product Launch Request (CPLR) process.
