Position Purpose:
The Field Finance Manager serves as a strategic partner to operations leadership. This role analyzes restaurant performance, interprets financial data and provides guidance to influence operational decision-making. This role identifies areas of opportunities within the P&L and engages cross-functionally with other departments (e.g., Operations, Training and Finance) to provide COGS, labor, and other controllables analysis and recommendations for maximizing efficiencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Utilize budgeting tools to aggregate, analyze, and plan key initiatives in support of the creation of annual budgets for restaurants and assesses impact to the P&L
• Provide insight and suggestions for process improvement to improve restaurant management and controls.
• Read and analyze financial impacts, make recommendations supporting equipment and systems innovation related to throughput improvement and operating complexity
• Provide support to field leaders, assisting with updating weekly transactions and sales forecasts.
• Assign and manage above guideline hours and exceptions for all stores
• Create KPI P&L reports and trains field managers as needed on P&L opportunities and financial literacy.
• Conduct regular P&L reviews with Above store leadership for portfolio opportunities and identify emerging issues.
• Develop & maintain on-going operations reporting support for tracking, implementation & execution follow-up for initiatives and controls.
• Perform P&L coaching for corrective actions and levers from P&L issues such as, but not limited to waste, inventory, and overtime management.
• Partner with operations to develop action plans and track progress improvements.
• Work with cross-functional partners in resolving emerging issues dedicated ingredient waste/pack size issues.
• Support annual budget process through a review of sales projections, prime costs and controllables targets by location.
• Validate individual restaurant P&L budget and forecast data for accuracy, requests updates and additional data if needed.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the education and/or experience required.
Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Systems Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field is required. Minimum of 5 years in FP&A, field finance, multi-unit retail/restaurant finance, or hospitality analytics in a medium to large organization. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of required education. Knowledge on data extraction, organization and reporting is the primary skill-set required for this position along with ability to perform these procedures efficiently and present results of the work. Work experience in the QSR industry is highly preferred.
Computer Software Skills:
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Professional (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and proficiency with the internet required. Exposure to enterprise planning and/or business intelligence software.
