Job DetailsJob Location: NEW YORK HEADQUARTERS - NEW YORK, NY 10118Job Category: InsurancePosition Summary: The Senior Product Analyst is responsible for preparing and developing state filings for submission to the Department of Insurance, analyzing objections letters from regulators, and coordinating response.  This role develops rates, rules, and forms for new product implementation.  Works on an integration team to update our policy management system.  The analyst prepares internal communication to stakeholders and serves as a key liaison with regulators-monitoring compliance statutes, bureau rate, rule and form advisement via circulars and bulletins. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Development, preparation and submitting filings to the State Insurance Departments, responding to examiner inquiries to secure approval also provide first line supervision support in analysts filing preparation.
Review ISO, NCCI, AAIS Bureau circulars and bulletins. Determine product impact and company action needed.
Analyze state insurance regulations and statutes as necessary to respond to DOI inquiries.
Develop and compose new product language to support new or enhancements to existing forms.
Research, develop and maintain coverage forms and endorsements needed to support new and existing products to meet industry development and trends.
Prepare detailed communications for stakeholders adhering to system service pack updates to our policy administration system of the forthcoming changes.
Conduct quality control audits across various platforms (ie: Reference Connect for updates of various bureaus and GNY independent rates, rules, and forms.
Provide necessary documentation and support for system programming. This will include working on an integration team to update policy management system. 
Work with Actuarial on the rate analysis to determine effects on GNY book of business by line of business or state.
Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
QualificationsEducation and Experience:

Bachelors degree required.
Minimum of 5 years Insurance experience required.
ISO experience and understanding of rate and rules required.
Experience in commercial lines insurance products preferred.
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
Knowledge with SERFF preferred.
Ability to research and analyze filing issues to be in compliance with state laws and regulations.

 

Skills:

Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills.
Excellent attention to details, basis legal research skills and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently, resolve problems and develop action plans.
Familiar with various bureau databases (Insurance Services Offices: Manual/Circulars).

The salary range for this role is $77,500-$141,400. The listed annual salary range posted for this position is subject to change and may vary depending on performance, education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, demonstrated proficiency in the competencies required for the role and business needs.  Base pay is just one component of GNY’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
