Job Description:
BlackHorse Solutions is searching for a motivated and innovative Material Coordinator/Logistics Specialist to join our growing organization.
The responsibilities include coordinating the procurement, tracking, integration, storage, shipment, and fielding of a global network of tactical systems. The ideal candidate would have experience managing hundreds of hardware components throughout their lifecycle and ensuring success in a complex, dynamic system of systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops/maintains a procurement tracking system for all hardware to manage components from cradle to grave.
- Works with internal and external stakeholders to obtain procurement approvals and procure hardware.
- Tracks procurement lead times and prioritizes needed procurement actions to meet customer requirements.
- Works with vendors to obtain hardware quotes.
- Tracks systems integration and provides capability updates to stakeholders.
- Maintains and manages system spares, as well as test and training systems.
- Maintains positive control of all hardware and tools.
- Creates tailored inventory reports.
- Ensure all electro-static sensitive devices are stored with the proper protection.
- Manages warehouses and storerooms.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, or relative work experience in leu of degree.
- 0+ years of related work experience
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to bend and lift 20 pounds and climb to work platforms over 10 feet in height
- Security Clearance Requirements: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with PC software packages typically associated with a professional office environment (Office 365 Suite, Sharepoint, etc.) is required
- Knowledge of and skills pertaining to the proper operations of a forklift
