What You Will Do:
The General Cloud Engineer will be part of the Innovation and Technology group (ITG) at Guidehouse Digital and bring demonstrated experience providing cutting-edge cloud solutions to support the mission-critical operations of federal government agencies. Your role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud architectures, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with federal clients to understand their unique requirements and design cloud architectures that meet their specific needs.
- Implement scalable and resilient cloud solutions, considering security and compliance considerations.
- Deploy and configure cloud infrastructure using best practices and automation tools.
- Ensure proper integration of cloud services to meet the performance and reliability requirements of federal applications.
- Implement and maintain security measures in accordance with federal regulations, including FedRAMP.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits, addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Establish monitoring systems to track performance metrics and security incidents.
- Identify opportunities for optimization, cost reduction, and improved resource utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise and guidance.
- ·Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures and configurations.
- Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure.
- Provide technical support to federal clients, ensuring prompt and effective issue resolution.
What You Will Need:
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card is required
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as Oracle, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with federal security standards and compliance requirements, particularly FedRAMP.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with a focus on federal government projects preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
- Master’s degree in computer science or IT or Engineering or related disciplines
