Overview of role
The Latino Leadership Initiative (LLI) student program assistant collaborates closely with Connected Learning and community partner staff to engage, mentor, and support students throughout the Fall, Winter and Spring quarters of the academic year. The student program assistant will be a peer facilitator and program assistant to support community service projects impacting local Latinx communities through a topic of the cohorts choosing.
Latino Leadership Program Overview
Latino Leadership Initiative (LLI) program is a cohort style program that supports Latino/a/x students. In partnership with a local partner, Latino Education and Training Institute (LETI), UW Bothell students get the chance to explore how they can be leaders in their community while gaining valuable networking and civic engagement experience.
The LLI’s purpose is to increase awareness about issues and ideas that are specific to the Latinx community. Anyone who wants to learn more about the dynamic cultures that represent a variety of Latin American countries, cultures, and traditions is welcome to engage in this affinity group.
Program Goals
1. Empower Latino/a/x College and University students to be civically engaged in the local community
2. Expose Latino Leadership Initiative participants to a variety of educational and career optionn
3. Instill theory & application of multicultural leadership skills
4. Increase Latino/a/x identity consciousness & cultural competencies

The Latino Leadership Initiative (LLI) program is part of the Office of Connected Learning in Academic Affairs. The Office of Connected Learning is committed to access and success for all students by promoting and supporting a range of co-curricular applied experiences that further cross-disciplinary learning, career connections, and contributions to a more just and equitable community on and off campus. Wage: $20.76 an hour
Duration: September 2025 – June 2026, range of 5-12 hours a week
Commitment:
