About the Role

Vault is HashiCorp's identity based security product built for the zero-trust multi-cloud world. Its open source community has tens of thousands of active, engaged users. Its enterprise users are some of the largest finance, healthcare, and technology companies in the world. Vault's core use cases are in Secrets Management, Encryption and machine Access/Identity Management. We are looking for a Sr. Manager of Product Management who is excited about building the next generation of Vault’s cloud workflows and experiences

This role is for a product lead for the Vault workflows & experiences team and will be responsible for leading a small team of product managers to build strategy and deliver a best-in-class solution to our customers. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast growing PM team and focus on building Vault’s cloud experience. 

In this role you can expect to:

• Own the strategic direction and build an opinionated roadmap for your product group, and be able to regularly present it to leadership and customers.
• Headcount planning, recruiting and managing a growing group of product people, helping to define and plan for sustainable growth and personal development within your team.
• Mentor product managers and give feedback on their work — user research, Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), field engagement, roadmaps. 
• Partner with the engineering and design teams to deliver on the roadmap
• Partner with marketing teams on go-to marketing strategy and execution. 
• Work with many different internal teams to figure out the best way to communicate within the company and to our customers.

You may be a good fit for the team if you have:

• 4+ years in product management or have a technical background in Enterprise DevOps/Security
• Ownership mentality  and experience delivering a product in multiple forms - open source, enterprise, cloud/SaaS solutions.
• 2+ years managing people. Good experience in giving constructive feedback and building/planning how to grow a team.
• Articulate and effective communication skills, both in writing and verbally
