What You’ll Do

The candidate will be responsible for supporting customers’ development and operation on Samsung Semiconductor chipset and maintaining the relationships with automotive-related customers and 3rd parties. Additional responsibilities include the technical marketing, attending tech. show, and supporting the field and lab test.  The candidate will work in the office of Auburn Hills, MI and report to Director FAE manager. The candidate can collaborate with people in the place with the different time zone globally, and also work well as a member of a team or group.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our Auburn Hills, MI office 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time.

  • SoC products for IVI and ADAS system, and partly Modem.
  • To provide the technical presentation to internal and external customers.
  • To review and advise how to build SW design aligned with SoC BSP.
  • To manage field engineering issues on record and organize issue database.
  • To debug issues and resolve them in corporation with the relative parties.
  • To act as the first point of contact for customers in technical questions.
  • To corporate with and manage 3rd party partners to develop functions.
  • To support to build strategy ideas, market insight and trends for future products.

 What You Bring

  • Bachelors with 10+ years of relevant industry experience, or Masters with 8+ years or PhD with 5+ years in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Min. 5 years of work experience in software development related role (development, system design, integration and test).
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in middleware and device drivers. Camera and ISP BSP experience would be preferable.
  • Experience in board bring-up, BSP customization and OS porting.
  • Experience in system integration, validation, testing and debugging.
  • Understanding automotive functional safety concept and automotive development process.
  • Understanding ARM based architecture with basic knowledge of CPU, GPU and NPU.
  • Hands-on automotive related development/customer support in IVI and Telematics.
  • Ability to proactively manage customer expectations to influence customer relations and design decisions.
  • Experience in development/support/commercialization of complex IVI/wireless/embedded system.
  • Knowledge of setting up the build server and Yocto development.
  • Managing complex technical projects as a hard experts.
  • Excellent communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Experience co-working engineers that are in independent functional organizations.
  • Initiate and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to travel (~25%) throughout the US.
