Sanofi is seeking an experienced professional to join the North America Security team at its Cambridge, Massachusetts (MA) location.

 

The Senior Security Manager North America (NA) – Operations – MA will report to the Director of NA Security Operations. The area of responsibility for this position will be the greater MA area to include sites in Cambridge, Framingham, Northborough, and Waltham. The goal of this position is to implement the NA Security strategy and to provide operational leadership for a holistic, scalable, and centralized capability to address any operational degradation of Sanofi resources or capabilities. This position will also conduct non-product investigations, training, off hours response, meeting and events support, review create and approve Security post orders, maintain Security records, and ensure site traffic regulations are enforced. This position is responsible for managing, within the area of responsibility, the contracted manned guarding service and budget.

Main Responsibilities:

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to,

  • advancing the Global Security people and asset program, hostile intruder, and asset recovery program, ensuring global and regional key performance indicators are met; identifying critical assets and levels of exposure; advancing awareness of risk associated to Sanofi’s people, information, and products; providing a coordinated, cross-functional platform to deter, detect, and mitigate threats as well as negligent or inadvertent risk behavior, to contribute to overall objectives of Security by supporting a Security culture; and all other duties assigned in support of North America Security. 

  • The successful candidate will have documented success conducting complex investigations, which could include documentation review, victim and witness interviews, collaboration with internal and external entities, the ability to initiate investigative action plans and fully document investigative steps and accomplishments. The candidate will collaborate with and be aware of objectives of other functions and business units, to react quickly to recommend and promote efficient solutions or alternatives to complex issues.

  • This position will require effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to brief senior Sanofi management, third-party vendors, and external partners. 

  • This position will utilize subject matter expertise to operationalize and contribute to the continued growth and adaptability of Sanofi’s Security programs; manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of the programs, as well as ensuring consistency and compatibility across all Global Business Units and Functions located in NA; participate and lead cross-functional working groups and workshops in support of the programs; manage employees or partnered services who are engaged in operations; contribute to strategic objectives and long-range goals; prepare and/or contribute to annual security threat briefings; this position requires a network of federal/state or local intelligence, and law enforcement entities.

  •  This position may supplement other NA Security programs as deemed appropriate by senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven ability to work in a global environment.

  • 15+ years of demonstrated progressive leadership and operational experience within the private sector or government.
