Job Description
Role Overview:
The Customer Marketing Director will be responsible for shaping and spearheading the development and global deployment of the Long-life-bird business development strategy at our company's Animal Health. This strategic leadership role will involve direct management and mentorship of a team comprising Global Marketing Directors and Global Technical Directors, as well as overseeing the execution of marketing initiatives designed to achieve ambitious growth and customer satisfaction targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development and Implementation:
Own and lead the development of the Long-life-bird business development strategy, ensuring global alignment and effective deployment across markets.
Formulate a winning strategy that captures the potential identified in the 5-Year Plan (5YP), including resource allocation, organizational structures, and alignment with R&D and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Global Marketing Directors and Global Technical Directors, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Ensure the team is equipped with necessary skills and resources to execute strategic initiatives effectively.
Launch Excellence:
Drive launch excellence by ensuring the successful delivery of 5YP numbers for designated customer types, focusing on seamless execution during product launches.
Establish and monitor KPIs to measure launch effectiveness and market penetration.
Customer Mapping and Analysis:
Conduct in-depth analysis of the top 50 global customers in the Layer and Broiler Breeder segments, identifying their unique needs, preferences, growth potential, and our company's positioning to serve them effectively.
Utilize insights gathered to inform strategy and initiatives aimed at enhancing customer relationships and engagement.
Competitive Assessment:
Analyze current competitive positioning by identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) to inform growth strategies and tactical decisions.
Lead efforts to continuously monitor competitor activities and market trends to stay ahead in the industry.
Identifying Success Factors and Bottlenecks:
Establish a clear understanding of the key factors contributing to our company's success in the market while identifying barriers or challenges that could hinder growth.
Develop actionable strategies to overcome identified bottlenecks and capitalize on opportunities.
Value Proposition Development:
Create a compelling value proposition tailored to the designated customer type, ensuring it aligns with their needs, aspirations, and market trends.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the value proposition is reflected in product development, marketing campaigns, and customer communications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Veterinary Science, or related field; MBA preferred.
10 years experience in marketing or business development within the animal health or related industry.
Demonstrated success in leading global marketing initiatives and managing teams.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and customer insights effectively.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a track record of driving results.
Work Environment:
A dynamic and fast-paced environment with global collaboration opportunities.
Available for travel as required to meet with global customers and stakeholders.
